Caledonian Canal - delay to opening

Due to techical challenges with refurbishment of the lock gates at Cullochy, the canal will be unable to open for passage of boats through Cullochy Lock, and for sea to sea navigation, as was planned for 15th April.
The reopening of the canal through Cullochy is now planned for the 16th-20th May.

So please watch out for further updates as they have a substantial review on 18th April and will confirm the definitive date they plan to re-open navigation - ie 16th or 20th May.
In the interim, the canal is open for local navigation either side of Cullochy.
