Busy Summer with Yachts & Wildlife

After a busy season with many visitors from all four corners of the globe, things are starting to wind down. The weather this summer could have been better, but as the next paragraph shows, we have other attractions if you are planning a holiday in your boat to this part of Scotland.
Our local wildlife is still as busy as ever! During the summer some of our resident dolphins had a habit of coming into the marina to play with the fish they had caught by tossing it into the air, much to the delight of those sitting on their boats. They are still here most days in the river. In addition whilst lifting a boat with the travelhoist today, we stopped and watched an otter catching and eating his(or her) breakfast as a heron looked on enviously from the river bank. Add the colony of appx 25 swans and the odd seal, there is always something to watch at Inverness Marina.
